On the aquatic shard of Masreya, the ichthyian Sidsel long battled and skirmished with the crustacean Ch’toklan over the resources of their shard. For just as long, these battles resulted in little more than stalemates, each driving the other off of fertile grounds time and time again.

It wasn’t until early in the Expansion Era that a true leader rose among their people. Claiming she was led by a vision, a Sidsel woman by the name of Manijahu emerged from the Spires of Karimos with a determination to drive off the Ch’toklan for good.

Rallying forces from the varying tribes and villages in the Rasatya Forests, her charisma and vigor attracted a great host that strove across the lands. Driving the Ch’toklan not only into the barren Halia Plains, but to the depths of the Dy’hari - where they remain today. Manijahu unified the Sidsel like they had never been before.

With the Ch’toklan cowed and their dominance of the midlands secure, Manijahu turned her forces on her own people. Sweeping through the shallows, she unified every tribe and town she came across under her banner, before settling in what is now known as Driyapal. In this lush land, she established the Covenant under her control, and named herself the first Kaian.
