While the Caretakers are often called the “Children of the Infinites” for their once lofty position as the dominant and carefully cultivated sentient species in the Shards, the honor has been passed down to a plethora of diverse and capable species that now call the Shards home.

Having fought the rigors of life in a broken world, a number of species have bested the test of time and risen to build civilisations and cultures, and ultimately take to the span in search of destiny.

Many of these species have banded together for a unified purpose, but each is uniquely capable and adapted in different ways. Their strengths complement and contrast one another, as they strive to master their shattered home.
