Kezve’sa

The Kezve’sa language is a melodic and graceful language of flowing syllables and sentence structure that is often compared by other cultures to singing. Indeed, key to the Kezve’sa spoken language is a variance in cadence and pitch based on the intended tone of a statement and dialogue.

Kezve’sa is spoken commonly throughout the Kezvee Trade Union, and commonly among their trade partners. As the largest trade organization in the Shards, this makes Kezve’sa the third most common language in the Shards.

Kezve’sa Script

While most languages based on the Caretaker script can credit their development solely to the discovery and adaptation of ancient ruins, the Kezve’sa language is unique in that it also incorporates a complex system of musical notation that was used by the Kezvee before they ever discovered Caretaker script.

The sweeping curves and diacritical tittles used to accent the language are all borrowed from Kezvee musical notation. While their basic script doesn’t include any actual musical notes, there is a striking resemblance - and some characters are used in both mediums.

Because of it’s roots in musical notation, the standard 26 characters of a Caretaker derived language are strictly written from left to right in straight lines with vertical line returns.
